If you haven't been to Popstroke yet, you should definitely should give it a go! perfect blend of indoors and outdoors, super clean, friendly welcoming staff, and plenty of parking! ⛳

I can't tell you how great it was to be in a level, covered, air conditioned space, with all the daylight and greenery of outside while indoors. What a treat! All the kids were such a blast and so full of excitement and gratitude, just love that!

I’ve been waiting until this project officially dropped to share this Last November, I had the honor of painting retired Army SFC Joe Bowser, a wounded war veteran, who was gifted an ADA smart home by the @garysinisefoundation. 🇺🇸❤️ He and his wife were the sweetest, most welcoming people I've met here in Tennessee. True Southern hospitality!

Candid moment I just had to share and just another reason I love my job!

So last year I'm on a job and I ask one of my kids to take a video of me painting at some point during the event. Just trying to critique myself, but of course they took it at the WORST angle possible, with a dirty lens and they didn't tell me when they were going to start recording! Stinkers. Anyway, work gets busy and I fall behind on posting/editing.

Fast forward a year and I'm finally getting to editing it😳. It starts off and already I can see it's not going to be very helpful, but I watch it to the end and OMG the look on the face of the little girl I'm painting as she patiently waits for glitter, her head moving in whatever direction it moves, just desperate to have it on her face... the freaking CUTEST! Here I am chatting away with her mom and I don't even notice how she is just quietly praying I'll get to the glitter part to happen! So adorbs I had to share!

A little throwback to an awesome opening at Slick City action park in Opry Mills Mall in April (always playing catch up on these posts during our busy season)!

I didn't catch our little conversation on the video, but that sweet innocent looking teen with the roses gave me such a hard time that she nearly had me in tears laughing, I loved every second of it!

I love how they kept so much of the original gas station and even added a classic truck out front. Such a cool little spot! The owners are some of the kindest people, and the cold brew was fantastic! ☕️

It turned out to be a beautiful HOT day, so we broke out our water-resistant powder paints, perfect for humid weather and lots of sweaty little foreheads!

So many adorable munchkins, and even an adorable baby golden retriever!

This little girl's been one of my regulars for years now, and I can literally watch myself grow as an artist just by looking back at photos of her over time.

What I love most, though, is that we've built our own little tradition... she brings me a treat almost every time she sees me and I try to have something special for her too! Small thing, but it's moments like these that make me love what I do! 💕

I don’t brag about my kids nearly enough on here (and somehow they’re both almost adults now 🫣), but today this guy absolutely deserves a spotlight moment.

This week he he totally blew me away, powering through a SIX-hour event in rough weather, nonstop, no breaks, smiling the entire time and making jokes, while twisting balloon after balloon (it's a lot harder than it looks and your hands can get super tired after just an hour or two). Watching him handle that kind of pressure with a great attitude made this Mamma ridiculously proud! He makes us work harder and laugh harder, I’m so grateful for him💕.

My son has been part of Dixie Land Face Painting & Balloons since day one, and honestly, he’s a huge part of why we keep growing. He pushes us to learn more designs, work faster, and keep leveling up our twisting game. He didn’t just grow up around this business — he helped shape it. And he’s only 15.

One of the greatest parts of building a family business is getting to work beside your kids and watch them become talented, hardworking humans in real time!
