The Artist Behind the Business
Hi, I’m Jennifer Sutton, but everyone calls me Jenny!
I'm the lead artist and proud owner of Dixie Land Face Painting & Balloons, started here in beautiful Nashville, Tennessee, but serving areas across the country. Even though running a business means playing many different roles behind the scenes, face and body painting is what got me started and it will always be my absolute passion. I built this company from the ground up because I fell in love with the art form and knew I wanted to turn it into my full-time career. That love is also why I created and host a Free Resource Center on our site for rising artists!
Dixie Land is a family run business through and through, and that's one of my favorite parts of this whole journey. My kids have grown up right alongside this company, and now that they're adults, they get to be part of it in a real way, painting faces, twisting balloons and bringing their own creativity to every event we work. There's something really special about building something that my family gets to share with me.
As Dixie Land grew, my mission expanded into building a company that event planners, families and organizations can count on without hesitation. I believe that booking entertainment shouldn't feel like a gamble or a headache. Whether you're a parent planning a birthday party, a festival organizer, a corporate team or a government entity, we strive to make the process smooth and seamless from start to finish and always welcome suggestions on how we can make the experience even easier!

I would love to personally paint every face, glitter every cheek and twist every balloon, but there's only one of me! So I've built a network of amazing artists I trust completely, which means you always get quality you can count on. I've worked alongside most of them myself and made sure they bring the same professionalism, reliability and fun, engaging personality that I do.
So whether I'm already booked for another event or your event calls for something more specialized like caricatures, airbrushing, festival hair braiding or another one of our awesome services, I've got an incredible network of fully vetted pros ready to step in. Every artist on our team runs their own independent business, which is pretty standard in this industry. It's actually what allows the best talent to team up for those big multi artist events, all while keeping the bar high.

What does your setup look like?
While our setups may range in size and appearance, they are always clean, organized and always ready to go, because we want your event to run smoothly and look great from the moment we arrive. We use high quality, skin safe products and keep our station structured so guests are taken care of quickly without sacrificing the detail in the artwork.
Depending on the artist and what you've booked, our setups may be standing or sitting. The exact space depends on the weather and the services you've chosen for the day. Indoor and outdoor events can look a bit different too, so just let us know what you're working with and we'll help figure out what fits best.

No shade where you're at? We can bring a canopy for an additional fee.

For bigger events, we can also set up multiple stations so no one's waiting too long for their turn.
